The Forum aims to raise public awareness directly or by helping groups and individuals to share information and advertising. Over the years group and individual members of CWDF have taken up a number of issues, such as those indicated below…

• Trade Justice Movement.
• MAKEPOVERTYHISTORY
• Jubilee Debt Campaign
• Support for events in One World Week each October
• Climate Justice campaigns.
• CDEC Developing Global Learning. CWDF was closely associated with the Development Education Centre based in Chester.
• Fair Trade Movement  including support for local initiatives in Chester through the inter-agency Fairtrade Steering Group.
• Peace movement – including Coalition to Stop the War on Iraq 2002-2004
• Amnesty International, Chester & Wrexham
